Tribute & Message From The Family

ELOISE GOODYEAR, age 92, passed away at her home in Palm Desert, California, on May 7, 2016.
She was born in Port Allegheny, PA to parents, Edith and Edwin Guncheon, who both predeceased her.
Eloise married Clyde J. Goodyear, Sr., in 1942 in Pennsylvania before moving to Southern California where they both worked and raised their three children who all survive her along with their children. Clyde J. Goodyear, Sr. predeceased Eloise in 2007 bringing an incredible love affair that lasted more than 65 years to a close. They traveled the world and never knew a stranger. Eloise and Clyde Sr. were well respected real estate brokers in San Marino for over 50 years and Eloise became a pioneer real estate broker, owning her own building and business in the San Marino/South Pasadena area which continues under family ownership today. She held many statewide offices related to her profession including President of the California Association of Realtors and she traveled throughout the State of California and Hawaii on behalf of that organization and others.
Eloise Goodyear was the matriarch of the Goodyear Family and she will be dearly missed by all her family and friends. We ask that you remember her by living each day with the spirit of Aloha in your heart.
Funeral Mass will be held at 9AM on Friday, May 20th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Palm Desert with interment following at Bellevue Memorial Park in Ontario.
FitzHenry-Wiefels has been entrusted with arrangements.

Condolence & Memory Journal

Eloise was a good neighbor who made my husband Jack and I feel right at home at Avondale. She introduced me to a great group of friends in the Avondale Putters. She checked on my husband's health regularly during his fight with Lymphoma and consoled me after my loss. Eloise was more that a friend to me and I will miss her laugh and her fighting spirit. RIP my friend who hopefully is joined with the love of her life.
