Betty Lou White, 73, of Palm Desert, CA was reunited with her daughter Cindy in heaven on June 9, 2016. She was born on October 14, 1942 in Newport, AR as the daughter of Bennie & Orene Taylor and is survived by her loving son Jerry White of Indio, sisters Shirley Champion and Phyllis Manley, brother Ben Taylor, granddaughter Makena Hull and many other nieces and nephews and good friends including her ex-husband Jerry White Sr with whom she always remained good friends. She was preceded in death by her precious daughter Cynthia White, two brothers Darrell and Billy Taylor, one sister Maxine Coleman, as well as her mother and father. Betty worked as a waitress/food server for many years at Sambos, Sandys/Dennys, Keedys, and most recently Louise's Pantry where she loved meeting people and serving them with a smile. She was an avid fan of the Oak Ridge Boys and country music and loved gospel singing which she learned growing up in the Calvary Landmark Missionary Baptist Church of Coachella where she was saved at the age of 10. Betty was diagnosed with Parkinson's Dementia in 2012 and although it took its toll on her life, her strong and stubborn will continued to push her forward as she put her faith and trust in Jesus to safely carry her through until he would call her home. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts until we meet again! Visitation will be June 15, 2016, between 5:00 and 7:00 pm at St Andrews Presbyterian Church at 47192 Monroe Street, Indio, CA along with a Celebration of Life service being held June 16, 2016, at 10:00 am under the direction of Fitzhenry-Wiefels Mortuary. - See more at: http://obituaries.desertsun.com/obituaries/thedesertsun/obituary.aspx?n=betty-lou-white&pid=180328848#sthash.fzhKKKTa.dpuf
