Felix H. Mercado, age 63, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2016; in his home in Palm Desert.
He was born in Brush, Colorado on December 14, 1952 to Silvino and Maria Guadalupe Mercado.
He majored in agriculture and horticulture and was an avid tennis player.
Felix is survived by his wife, Maria Mercado; his sons: Felis and Joaquin; and his daughter, Jennifer. He is also survived by his six siblings: Elisa, Delia, Olivia, Sylvia, Susie and Irene. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Guillermo.
Viewing will be held at Christ of the Desert Chapel, 73-441 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert on Monday, August 29, 2016 from the hours of 6-8PM with a Rosary at 6:00PM. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 43-775 Deep Canyon Road, Palm Desert at the hour of 9:00AM.
Burial will follow at Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella, CA.
Services are entrusted to FitzHenry-Wiefels Mortuary, Indio, CA.
