George Detter McClure; "Bucky" of Indio, Ca went home to be with the Lord on February 7, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 76 years old. Born in Kalkaski, Michigan on October 2, 1939 he was the son of George and Mildred McClure. He married the love of his life Frances Christian on Oct. 27, 1959. Together they raised 6 children whom they loved very much. George lived in the desert for over 55 years working hard to provide for his family, retiring in 2006 after 20 years working in electrical construction. He was an amazing son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and always a friend whose love and sense of humor will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Frances "Oneta" McClure, his son Mark McClure, daughters: Donna Jacobs, Neta Talamantes, and Francie Martinez; along with 26 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at the hour of 10:00 a.m. with a Service at the hour of 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church 44-500 Monroe St. Indio, Ca. with burial at the Coachella Valley Cemetery.
