Born March 27, 1929, in Santa Monica, California, Morris died on August 12 in the Palm Springs Desert Hospital. He was the oldest of 39 cousins.

Because Morris suffered with asthma, the pediatrician suggested that the dry desert climate would benefit him. In response, the family moved to Palm Springs in 1934, where his parents, Mabel and Marvin, opened the Sale's Plaza Market. Morris had a younger brother, Paul Reginal "Buddy", and was the oldest of 39 cousins.

Morris attended Francis Steven's Grammar School and graduated from Palm Springs High School in 1947. After graduation Morris and two friends visited Alaska for the summer. Upon his return, and being underage, Mabel and Marvin signed papers for Morris to join the Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton where he served three years. Attending UCLA he studied engineering, business, and art.

Morris married Joann Arnold in 1954 and after having two girls, Kimberlee and Karyn, they moved to Fresno where he worked as a civil engineer. They had a son, Mark. Joann and Morris divorced. For the next five-years, Morris worked as a civil engineer in Los Angeles, Vietnam, and Korea. Upon returning to Palm Springs to care for his mother he still continued working as a civil engineer. Upon retirement, he raised birds, amphibians, cut opals, and made wood carvings of birds and animals and became a private pilot, taking arial photography.

Morris is survived by his daughter Kimberlee, his son Mark, and his daughter Karyn and her husband, Ken Thompson. Karyn and Ken have two children, Sean, and Renee. Renee and Mark Barile have two children, Amber and Skyler. Morris is also survived by twin sisters, Jacqueline Dillon and Jeraldine Lukianov.

Memorial services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside on September 2, at 10:15 am.
