Norman L. Dart, 78, known affectionately by his family and friends as "Herbie", passed away on November 29, 2016, due to complications of Lymphoma.
He was born June 24th, 1938, to Albert and Anna Dart in Detroit, Michigan. He married Colleen MacNeish in 1959 in California, the couple had three sons. Herbie owned Dart Insulation in for many years and later he also owned The Squire Cocktail Lounge. The family lived in Riverside and Yucaipa.
Thereafter he spent many years in Palm Springs with his significant other Roxie Petee. He kept busy bartending part time at the Fireside Lounge. He enjoyed watching sports, playing golf and attending the horse races. He was a very proud owner of a few race horses himself.
Norman leaves behind two brothers, Terry Dart of Yucaipa, CA, and Gilbert Dart of Grants Pass, OR. His three sons, Jerry Dart of Covington, WA, David Dart of Seattle, WA, and Larry Dart of San Luis Obispo, CA. He also leaves behind his step-son Tony Petee. He had seven wonderful grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, January, 14th at 2 pm at Wiefels Palm Springs Mortuary.
