Tracy Leigh Kvinge passed February 1st, 2017 in Palm Desert, CA surrounded by friends and family after a very sudden and unexpected battle against breast cancer over the past month.
Tracy was born May 2nd, 1960 to her loving parents, Bryce and Norma Hadley in Long Beach, California.
Her family, including her sister Lisa, moved to Indio in 1962. Tracy found her passion young, taking her first dance lessons at the age of 5. She continued to dance for the rest of her life, living the majority of her life in the studio or theater. In high school she displayed her love for the arts as a cheerleader, dancer, and member of the Drama Club. She graduated from Indio High School in 1978, and later received her Associate Degree from The College of the Desert.
As a dance teacher, Tracy touched the hearts of hundreds at Miss Julie's Dance Studio, College of the Desert, Village Center for the Arts, and Starlight Dance Center.
Leaving the Coachella Valley to pursue her dreams of becoming a professional dancer, the passing of her father brought her back to the Coachella Valley in 1986, and led to her crossing paths with her future husband.
Tracy married the love of her life, Ross John Kvinge, on May 4th, 1990 in Indio, California where the two began their loving life together. Together, they raised three beautiful children, Kayle, Erik, and Ryan. Shortly after the birth of her daughter, Kayle, Tracy and Ross moved to Jupiter, Florida, where she gave birth to her twin sons, Erik and Ryan.
Moving back to the Coachella Valley in 2002, Tracy had an existing group of friends and family, but extended it tenfold with her fun, loving, and compassionate spirit.
Tracy is survived by her husband Ross; three children, Kayle, Erik, and Ryan; her mother Norma; her sister Lisa; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
To honor Tracy's passion for the arts a public service will be held Friday, February 17 at the Pollock Theater of the College of the Desert Campus at 11am, followed by a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to the Desert Cancer Foundation, online at www.desertcancerfoundation.org or call 760-773-6554 for more information.
