Travis Duane Loftis, 30, of Palm Springs, CA, passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2016 after a long battle with heart disease. He was born on August 22, 1985 in Palm Springs. He graduated from Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, FL in 2004 and currently worked as a Traffic Enforcement Officer at the Palm Springs International Airport and was a California certified security guard. He loved his family and had many lifelong friends across the country. A big movie and video game buff, his favorites included Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Dragon Ball Z. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could recite movie lines from memory, especially when you least expected it. After work, he enjoyed spending time with friends at his favorite hangout, the Fireside Lounge. He is survived by his mother, Lola (Blake) Goetz and father, Timothy (Tracie) Loftis; siblings, Lindsey and Starla Goetz, Denver McClellan; and grandmother, Fern Loftis, of Uneeda, WV. His wonderful spirit and lasting smile will be celebrated at a memorial service at July 22nd at 11 am at Wiefels Mortuary at 690 S. Vella Road, Palm Springs, with a graveside service to follow at Desert Memorial Park in Catherdral City, CA.
