Armando J Camarena, age 29, passed away on Saturday, March 30th, 2013. He was born in Oceanside, California on October 25th, 1983.

Mando was an Oceanside local resident his entire life. He was raised in the Oceanside sports community, having played for Oceanside American Little League and Oceanside Pop Warner as a child. He continued playing baseball and football at Oceanside High School, where he graduated with the class of 2001.

As an adult, he worked in construction for R.D installations, where he was a member of Local 89. He worked as a machine operator for Custom Converting, Inc. for several years and he later went on to work as a handy man in North County.

He is survived by his parents, Armando Sr. and Anna Camarena; his paternal grandfather, Raymond Juarez; his sisters, Amanda and Arica Camarena; his brother, Andrew Camarena. He also leaves behind his son, Armando A. Camarena; all of Oceanside. Mando belonged to a large family and is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held at Oceanside Mortuary, 602 S. Coast Highway, Oceanside Ca. from 5:30-7pm immediately followed by a rosary from 7-8pm on Friday, April 5th, 2013

Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 6th, 2013 at 11am at Mission San Luis Rey, 4050 Mission ave, Oceanside Ca. 92058. Interment to follow immediately at Eternal Hills cemetery, 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside Ca.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been created in the name of Armando J Camarena at San Diego County Credit Union. This will be dedicated to Armando A. Camarena's college fund. Donations can be made at any SDCCU branch or through the family.
